I’m so glad you’ve chosen me as your designer!
Here, you’ll find everything you need to keep our project organized and running smoothly. Please review the information below and be sure to scroll all the way down to ensure you don’t miss any important details.
To ensure a smooth and efficient design process, please provide the following materials before we begin:
Book Cover & Design Details
- Your Book Title – Include all text for the front cover, spine, and back cover (including tagline, subtitle, and author name).
- Blurb & Author Bio – Finalized text for the back cover and bio page, if applicable.
- Any Logo Files – If you have an existing logo or publishing imprint, provide the high-resolution files (PNG, SVG, or AI).
- Preferred Colors & Branding – Any specific colors, typography, or design elements you’d like incorporated.
Interior Book Layout (if applicable)
- Finalized & Polished Manuscript – Ideally formatted in a Google Doc with page breaks or chapter separations for clarity.
- Author Portrait – If you’d like a photo on your bio page, please provide a high-quality image.
- Custom Illustrations – If your book requires custom artwork, provide a detailed description before we begin to minimize revisions.
Visual Inspiration & Images
- Pinterest Mood Board – Please create a Pinterest board with:
- Covers you admire (describe what you like in the pin description)
- Preferred fonts, colors, and imagery
- Any patterns or textures that inspire your book’s aesthetic
- Once we begin the design process, please do not add new pins. I will work based on your initial selections.
- Stock Images (if needed) – If you have specific stock images you want to use, please provide them. Otherwise, let me know your image preferences, and I can source them for you. (Ensure all images are royalty-free or that you own the rights.)
Once you have everything ready, please upload the files to Dropbox or Google Drive and share the folder with me at:

PLEASE NOTE:
Moving forward, you should take note that I do not work Saturday and Sunday.
I check and respond to email once daily Monday through Friday unless I am in the middle of your project and need responses. If you email me on the weekends I will respond the following Monday.
I need this personal time to step away from the computer and recharge so I can give your project my best creative work.
I’m fairly ‘strict’ about disconnecting often to refill my creative well and refuel my spirit.
I will only contact you as I need things or have questions regarding your project. Please know that I am creatively working away, even if you don’t hear from me every day. This will depend on your project deadline and how quickly things need to come together.
P.S. I’m very passionate about my work, and particular about how I work to keep that creative energy flowing!
I love when my clients are upfront, clear, and detailed when providing what I need to give their project my focused energy.
Timelines are important to me. Please have material ready and answer emails in a timely manner so our project can stay on schedule and maintain a forward flowing energy. I have a calendar full of wonderful clients just like you that I fill very selectively to give myself the proper time and energy for your unique project.
Thank you for appreciating and valuing my gifts!
